2016 Herreshoff Schooner Ingomar

Project in partial stage of construction, the hull is completed.

The original Ingomar combined beauty, grace and power with the story of a the legendary Captain Charlie Barr, an extraordinary wealthy owner who in 1904 set the record for the most successful season of any Herreshoff schooner ever built.

The hull was receated in the best traditions of Dutch steel construction. She is shaped meticulously following the lines, keel shape and sail plan of that quintessential 1904 season. The attention to fairness and detail reflects what the team at the shipyard has learned in a life time of shipbuilding resulting in what has to be one of the finest steel schooner hulls of our time.

Ingomar is available as finished steel hull or we can manage the building project for an owner and later deliver her as a finished yacht ready to cruise and race.

This is a once in a lifetime chance to own a major newly constructed classic yacht with the hull already finished, which will significally speed up the construction time of the whole vessel. Our team has all the building plans and calculations ready as well as an available shipyard and suppliers.
